RECREATIONAL FOOTBALL POOL

Recreational Football Pool is a Windows based program that runs
and maintains a pool for the National Football League. It runs from
game 1 and ends on Superbowl Sunday.

I have tried to incorporate as many different scenarios into the pool
such as using or not using pointspreads, using or not using monday night total points as tiebreakers so that the program can be used by a large number of people rather than limiting it's use to a few who follow only certain rules.

The pool starts when you enter the names of the players who will be partcipating throughout the year. There names are recorded and
they appear on the player view screen along with thier total wins for the year.

The schedule is then inputed and the entire year can be put in at one time and the pointspreads if used entered later, or they can be put in one week at a time. The schedules can be recalled at any time and updated.

Players then make thier selections for ALL games picking favorites & underdogs or home & away teams depending on which you use, and these
picks are entered into the program along with thier predictions for
total points scored in Monday nights game if you are using the tiebreaker.

A printout sheet showing all games being played as well as each players selections can be printed and distributed to all players prior to the commencement of the weeks games.This sheet has proven to be a big hit
as all players can follow along with how the competition is doing. 
If you have a fax modem these sheets can be faxed out if desired.

At the completion of weeks play the winning teams are entered into the program.Once this is done the players total scores are automatically
pdated and a win sheet showing which games each player won is
printed out. Players can be sorted from high to low  score and it 
is then time to get ready for next weeks play.

For convenience a blank prinout sheet can be printed out prior to each
week where you can record players picks before entering them into the program.

I have spent many years playing with this program and hope I have finally come upwith a version that can be used in most pools. I have not finished with it yet and already have many new ideas for next years version. I am hoping that the people whouse it this  year will give me feedback
which will allow me to improve it in the future.
