As a lot of you noticed, the lineups were a late going out this week. (I
didn't intend for them to be as late as they were.) The delay was due to an
issue that came up in League II that took a couple of hours -- and several
e-mails -- to finally get resolved. The issue centered around how tranx
requests are handled in weeks without trade windows.
LG II NOTE: A couple of transactions have been inserted between Weeks 3 & 4,
and will be posted as part of the Week 4 report.
The end result of this is a strict reading of the rules for how tranx requests
for players are handled in weeks w/o the trade windows. *** In weeks without
trade windows for the rest of the season, no tranx request will be accepted
before the reports are e-mail. This will be strictly enforced. (Weeks with
trade windows will not be impacted.) There are two proposals being assembled
for the Comp. Comm. e-meeting in January that will address 2002 and beyond.
Trade windows do start this week. In short, they're similar to the NFL's
waiver wire system that gives the teams not doing well the first opportunity
to get players. (See the rules for details.)
