With Week 2 we've got some good NFL competition--just look at the NFC Central with all the teams at 1-1. RAFFLE is following suit--good high-scoring games with the winner usually being determined late (Sunday or Monday night). News from the RAFFLE office: the software is behaving itself--for now. It looks like I've finally got the stuff configured right. Also, for those who haven't seen it on rec.sport.football.fantasy, there's a new stat distribution via a list server at Vnet. Check the football/LISTSERV/info file for more info. Standings ~~~~~~~~~ Sisko Divison W L T Per. The Trouncers feel very lucky after surviving a opponent that had Michael Irvin and Cris Carter. :) In one of several one-sided affairs the Vikingra beat up on the Bruins 88-55. Although the Bruins put up a few points Monday night, they still didn't put that large a dent in the margin of victory. After getting edged out last week by the commish last week, the Goatboys defeat the Oblits 82-51 in another game decided Sunday. What had to help the Goatboys were good performances from Steve Young and Marion Butts. In a closer game, the Thunderbirds downed the Panthers 86-71 in the only game not decided until Monday was over. Although Jerry Rice didn't give his typi- cal pointage this week, the points put up by Mirer, Chris Warren, and Ben Coates more than made up for it. The Hitmen must have put a contract out on the Warriors this week--they easily handled the Warriors 116-70 with a 20-point performance from Calvin Williams that wasn't needed for the win. In the final game the Bookies downed the Lightning 88-70 with solid output from Brett Favre and an ATLANTA DST touchdown. Granted, having Shannon Sharpe out for the game didn't help the Lightning either....
