The Cloggers and the linemen, both bubble playoff teams squared off and the Cloggers won by a 34-21 score. Again, the Minnesota defense was a big factor as the Cloggers won their 3rd in a row. In the should-have-been game of the week, Hot Death, division leader of the No-Trump division, and Lightning, division leader of the Spade division, went after each other and Team Lightning won convincingly 50-14. With the win, Lightning stays just ahead of the pack in the Spade divison, but Hot Death has lost 4 straight and has turned the NoTrump division into a virtual toss-up! The Trouncers and Airballers took the field in a game that pitted the league commissioner against the league statistician :) The commissioner won 26-17 after sweating out the Miami offense on Monday Night. The Airballers have won two straight! In the game of the week, the Bombjacks kept their playoff hopes alive by defeating the Anarchists 28-8. The Bombjacks are a game out from the playoff picture while the Anarchists have been eliminated. The Bastards and Steelers, two of the best teams in the RAFFLE, played to a close 29-23 score in favor of the Bastards. With the win, the Bastards keep pace with Lightning in the Spade division. The Steelers remain two games ahead in the Club division. The Wildcats needed a win against the Bombers to keep their playoff hopes alive and got it with a 36-18 win. The Bombers have lost 3 straight, but are only a game and a half from the Spade division lead. The Wildcats have a points edge on the field of 3 teams at 4-7. Boners: This week was marred by "I think so-and-so who scored 2 TDs plays for team X, but I cannot find them on the starting roster... Among them: C. Gary, LARM B. Jones, SF D. Fenner, CINN C. Okoye, KC With a lot of injuries to Key teams in the NFL, these "Backups" may need more consideration ... The New England Defense scored a whopping 22 points last week :( Behind the Numbers: Going into this week, all 3 conferences are far from decided. The Spade division is particularly tough! I tried to give each team with a shot at any conference title a "to do" list to win the title. REMEMBER: The conference title means you are in the Playoffs REGARDLESS. The rankings for the playoffs are based solely on record and points. In a sense, the title is not that important, but it looks good on your team resume :) Keep in mind that everyone will play everyone else in the conference one more time!! -------------- NoTrump Division -------------------------------------- Airballers: A> Win all their games and Hot Death lose 2 B> Win two games while Hot Death Loses all three AND the Cloggers lose 2 Advantage: POINTS Cloggers: Must win at least two games while Hot Death loses 2 and the Airballers win as many or fewer games than they do. Advantage: TIE Hot Death: Simply win two games. Advantage: 2 game lead in essence ---------------Spade Division ---------------------------------------- Bombers: Complicated, but possible. A> Win all their games while Lightning and Bastards lose two. B> Win two games while lightning loses 2 and the Bastards lose all three games. Advantage: Possible in Spade division Bastards: Win one more game than Lightning. Needs to win at least one less game than the Bombers. Advantage: Points Lightning: Win as many as the Bastards, but win at least one less than the Bombers. Advantage: Tie --------------Club Division -------------------------------------------- Trouncers: Need points and two more wins than the Steelers to win the division. Steelers: Win two games, or win at least one less than the Trouncers. Barring that, must keep up the point production Advantage: Points and Record. ** Playoff to-do list coming up next week! ** RAFFLE standings and stats for week # 11: NoTrump Division | #| W | L | T | gb | stk | Pts for | Pts Agnst | ---------------- |--|----|----|---|----|-----|---------|-----------| Hot Death | 4| 7 | 4 | 0 | -- | L 4 | 281 | 264 | Clydestown Cloggers | 2| 5 | 5 | 1 | 1.5| W 3 | 323 | 300 | Allen's Airballers | 1| 5 | 6 | 0 | 2 | W 2 | 324 | 314 | Eastern Anarchists | 3| 2 | 9 | 0 | 5 | L 7 | 213 | 332 | Spade Division | #| W | L | T | gb | stk | Pts for | Pts Agnst | -------------- |--|----|----|---|----|-----|---------|-----------| Lightning | 8| 7 | 3 | 1 | -- | W 1 | 335 | 263 | Drunken Bastards | 7| 7 | 4 | 0 | .5 | W 2 | 332 | 286 | Ch.
